WE PARTED AS FRIENDS FOR LIFE

Yesterday I finished a phase in my life that I hope not to repeat. I finished with my physical therapy. I am excited to be finished with the pain of stretching my knee and measuring my range of motion. I am thankful that I don't have to feel the tears sting my eyes as I am pushed to the limit of my pain threshold. I don't have to worry that I won't make any progress and feel bad that didn't get anywhere. I don't have to take that two hour time out of my day to spend doing vigorous exercises that I could be doing in my own home. But I will miss the great staff at Mountainland. They became my great friends. I realized on my first visit that your therapist has to be very "physical" with you in order for you to get better. They are telling you what to do, they are always touching you, they did things for me that I could not do for myself, and they know just about everything about you and your family. Without these great friends, I would not be able to bend my knees to pray, I would not be able to walk normally, I would not be able to ride a stationary bike, and I would still feel like my active life had come to a drastic end. They are my friends and my saviors in a strange way. They have pushed me to limits that I never thought I could go. They encouraged me when I was discouraged with my lack of progress. They came in on their days off just to give me some extra help. I will be forever grateful to these great people. Thanks to all of them for doing their job well and for being my friend.

Feeling Sad.....

Feeling sad today with the news that we received yesterday that my Dad has been diagnosed with prostate cancer. It was caught in the early stages and so we are hoping that with the right medication he can beat this. I have always been afraid of cancer. I have seen it take both young and old and I have seen how ugly it makes people feel from the affects of it. I hate that disease-in every form--with a passion. I just wish that there was a cure and then so many people wouldn't have to suffer from it.
Good Luck Dad---you can beat this. We will pray, fast, do whatever it takes to help you through this time of trial. I love you Dad. I have great faith and hope that you will overcome this. You are strong and the Lord is watching out for you!!!

MY PERSONAL CHEFS

Jordan and Kae Lee had a big surprise for Michael and I!!!

Jordan wasn't quite sure he wanted to cook with Kae Lee---just kidding. They had a great time together. They are great friends.

Here is Kae Lee getting in the groove of cooking dinner for Michael and I.

Here is Jordan getting ready to fix us dinner!

Kae Lee told Jordan that he needed to wear an apron, Jordan did not agree with her. An apron is just not "manly" so he took it off.

They decided to fix spaghetti for Michael and I and it was delicious. They included dessert and a salad. Now I have my own personal chefs!!! Great job Kae Lee and Jordan.

This is their delicious meal and they even cleaned the kitchen spotless when they were all done.

Thanks Jordan and Kae Lee--you are hired to come and cook anytime!!!
